The MISSION of Family Promise of York County is to provide a comprehensive program of shelter, meals, and support services to homeless families through coordination with area churches, social service agencies, and volunteers. 

Our VISION is that families leave our program better equipped to meet life's challenges.

Our GOAL is that families resume and maintain self- sufficiency and independence in permanent housing.

Donate  / Volunteer

Family Promise of York County relies on the community to provide support to our families above and beyond the services of our staff.  This support can come in the form of volunteering your time or special skills or by donating money or goods to help our guest families reach their goals of becoming independent and self-sufficient.

Bed Race
SAT. aPRIL 23, 2016  10:00am

Teams build themed beds on wheels, and then race (using manpower only) against other teams. Each team consists of five members to run the race - one rider and four runners to push the bed. Beds will race in heats, two at a time. When each race heat starts, the rider must put on their "pajamas" and get on the bed before the team races down Main St. The race course is a straight run on Main St. from Hampton St. to the finish at the Wells Fargo bank. Pre-registration is required. Entry fee is $150. Contact Family Promise for Early Bird and other discounts.
